Frantic search for missing mum, 34, and daughter, 7, last seen getting into taxi in Leicester

A FRANTIC search is underway for a mum and her daughter who disappeared after getting into a taxi in Leicester yesterday.

Police say they’re “concerned for the welfare”of  Komal Karaji, 34, and her seven-year-old daughter Amaya Goraniya, who were last seen in the city around 2.25 pm.

The pair got a taxi from their home in Abbey Rise to Leicester Railway station in London Road.

It’s believed Komal and Amaya then boarded a train to Birmingham.

Komal, who is around 5ft 7 and slim, was last seen wearing a black waist length raincoat, light blue jeans with rips on the knees, and white trainers.

She was carrying a yellow beach bag which had pink and blue flowers and a paisley design on it, and a light grey or blue handbag.

Amaya is 3ft 3ins tall, slim, with shoulder length dark hair.  She was wearing a pink jacket and white trainers.
