The gunman who fired at a FexEx facility in Indianapolis, killing at least eight people before turning the gun on himself, has reportedly been identified as 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hole.

Hole is from Indiana, two law enforcement officials briefed on the matter told the Associated Press on Friday.

Investigators are searching a home in Indianapolis linked to Hole and have confiscated desktop computers, electronic devices and more evidence, the officials said.

Four others were shot and another person was injured in the mass shooting that occurred shortly after 11pm on Thursday. Officers arrived to find an active shooter.

‘This suspect came to the facility, and when he came there he got out of his car and pretty quickly started some random shooting outside the facility’, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Deputy Chief of Criminal Investigations Craig McCartt said during a press conference on Friday morning.

FedEx CEO Frederick Smith said that the eight people who were killed were employees.

‘This is a devastating day, and words are hard to describe the emotions we all feel’, Smith said in a statement. ‘I want to express my deepest sympathies to the families, friends, and co-workers of those team members’.
